Gianpiero Lo Curto Meeting

February 24 2009

On Tuesday, February 24, the students of Fashion Design and Interior Design had an open meeting at IADE with Gianpiero Lo Curto, head of Visual Merchandising at Loewe. From his Florentine training in humanities and architecture and his long experience in firms such as Versace, Armani, Bottega Venetta or Calvin Klein, he told us how, from his point of view, a showcase for a quality product should be.

The starting point is after the fashion show and from there, the departments that he directs, both design and commercial, working as a team, begin to develop ideas to meet the needs of the consumer and the product. From this point, the window display is the first idea that leads to enter the store, without forgetting the brand and the quality of the product, which must be its guarantee. The union of light, product placement and space is fundamental for window dressing.
